Reading nothing. I have literally been on a reading binge and it has kept me up all hours of the night so I am taking a break from reading (this won’t last long I just know it).

You know that moment.

Most of us have been there and some are soon to be.

The moment you realize your adorable little babe is now edging into the ugly waters of two-dom.

Yes.

I said it.

Two-dom, two-ness, two-hood or commonly whispered by defeated mothers every where the “Terrible Two’s”. 

Well my little Eli is there. He may only be 18 months but he is most definitely there.

Cue cute, sweet, adorable (slightly messy) baby.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now you must be thinking “How could this baby BE anything but cute, sweet and adorable?”

Oh I will tell you how!

Something in their chemical makeup actually switches these tiny creatures into the “Terrible Two’s” mode.

They start to whine about everything and anything and any ability they previously had to wait is gone.

They need it NOW!

They need food NOW!

They need a nap NOW!

They need that toy NOW!

They do things like throw themselves on the floor and scream and flail.

They hit. EVERYTHING.

People.

Toys.

Walls.

You name it.

I am not gonna lie, sometimes I think the Terrible Two’s resurfaces when they are teens but in a much more serious manner.

I feel like I may not survive round 3 of the “Terrible Two’s”.

Someone tell this kid that the key to survival is being kind to your momma, not causing her to have a twitch in each eye and to pull muscles while trying to man-handle you.

Remind little monster that the way of the world is to “Do unto others as you would want done unto you” or whatever that saying is.

Someone stop this kid before he sends his mother to the funny farm!

Enjoying the end to a beautiful weekend full of family, friends, fun and a whole lotta dirt!

Feeling like Monday should just be an extended weekend. I would love to have accomplished more outside.
Planning a mini getaway with the entire family next weekend. Wish me luck. Staying in a hotel with three kids and a night owl. I will need it.
Craving a day where my youngest isn’t jumping off of something. I just can’t keep up. Sigh.
Holding onto a giant pile of wet, sandy clothing from our day of gardening. At least we all had fun and SOME things got planted.

Thinking of what to buy for a friend’s little guy that is turning 1. Wanting to be practical but also love things that are just FUN!
Grateful for having my hubby around this weekend to enjoy some funny moments at home and out with friends. It was very refreshing.
Anticipating watching my plants flourish. I let them “play outside” this weekend and think it will do wonders for their growth.

Wishing I had taken the time to wash the floor and yet in a way I simply don’t care that it is insanely crusty and sticky. There was too much fun to be had to pause and clean up.
Reading The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. I will report back next week on what I think. Generally it is a win with any Nocholas Sparks book. If you haven’t had a chance to see The Lucky One you better drop what you are doing and head to a theater to get your drool on.

Wondering how many nights we will have to enjoy our deck before the mosquitoes invade and carry us away. Such a buzz kill. Literally.
